ED Vaughan is all set for a busy spell at the major yearling sales over the next month or so. Vaughan has already attended the Keeneland Yearling Sales and is now poised to move on to next week's auction at Goffs before the famous Tattersalls October yearling sale. He said: “I will be at all the major yearling sales this autumn and will be happy to help both my current clients and prospective customers. “Should anyone have any enquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the sales or alternatively ring Grange House Stables on 01638 667411." There will be many well made horses with suitably fine pedigrees heading to the sales and the prices will reflect such factors. But then there will also be plenty of future winners who don’t attract so much attention and go through at comparatively cheap prices. This is even more the case in 2009 with the recession ensuring that prices for many horses will be exceptionally competitive. Indeed, as one leading bloodstock reporter indicated, there should be plenty of value on offer. Writing in the Racing Post on September 21, Ed Prosser stated: "If you have ever fancied owning a racehorse, there have been few more financially advantageous times to get involved." |
